Peggy Kehoe

Characterized by contrast, Peggy Kehoe’s artwork is both intuitive and purposeful. In her paintings, tangible subjects fade in and out of colorful fields of calligraphic brush marks. The energetic surfaces of Kehoe’s compositions are at once, vague and specific.

After completing her career teaching art and art history in the Pittsford school district, Kehoe recently returned to her home studio to paint full-time. Kehoe’s interests in exploring the natural world, studying art history, and observing human nature, contribute to the themes she develops in her paintings.
