A Study in Color: The Experimental Arts of Todd Bassage

Whitman Works Company is delighted to host "A Study in Color, the Experimental Arts of Todd Bassage", in the gallery from August 11 through September 1, 2018. Mr. Bassage is driven by experimentation – as a scientist in a laboratory during the work day, and as an artist in his home studio in the evenings – and creates paintings in novel ways. Science and art blend seamlessly in his explorations of color, surface, and technique.

About the Artist:

Todd Bassage has been creating works of art for over twenty years, specializing in abstract painting, sculpture, and photography. From 1999 to 2001, he studied painting at Finger Lakes Community College under Tom Insalaco and Helen Santelli, an experience that shaped his interest in creating works of art. Since college, Todd has been experimenting with self-taught techniques, creating abstract works of art in his home studio in Fairport, New York.
